POLENGHI LOMBARDO: THE MANAGERS OF PARMALAT HAVE ANNOUNCED THE POSSIBILITY TO DO AN INDUSTRIAL PLAN BY THE MIDDLE OF JUNE 2007 |

The general manager of the Parmalat, Bonomi; the personnel manager of the Parmalat Massaro; Civetta; the President of the Province of Lodi, Lino Osvaldo Felissari; the Mayor of Lodi, Lorenzo Guerini; the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Lodi, Enrico Perotti; the provincial Chairwoman for the Job Policies, Luisangela Salamina; the municipal Chairman for the Productive Activities, Roberto Getilli; the general secretaries of CGIL, CISL and UIL (Giuseppe Foroni, Mario Uccellini and Massimiliano Castellone); the representatives of the RSU of the Polenghi Lombardo have taken part in the meeting.
On 9th March 2007, at the Economical Development Ministry, a meeting has been organised to examine the situation of the firm Polenghi Lombardo of Lodi. During this summit it has been fixed 30th June 2007 as last date for the checking of the considerations about the future of the firm.
The attention, that the local institutions and the trade unions have for the future of the establishment and its workers, is high: the meeting has been the occasion to check the presence of news about the productive future of the lodigiana firm.
Parmalat has supposed, by the middle of June 2007, the introduction of the industrial plan.
The President Felissari, also for the Mayor Guerini and the President of the Chamber of Commerce Perotti, voices a cautious satisfaction about the news given by Parmalat. He explains that, also in consideration of the sheer size of the establishment Polenghi and the importance that it has in the economy of our province, it is important the presence of a firm that transforms the products that come from the lodigiane agricultural activities.
He underlines a constant engagement of the institutions with the trade unions to safeguard the workers and to find solutions that consider the agro-industrial vocation of the territory.
The choices of the Group appear oriented towards the research of a entrepreneurial subject that works in the same productive sector to preserve the abilities and expertises of the workers of the Polenghi Lombardo and that , in harmony with the local institutions, increases the values of the productive vocations of the area.
